Abstract:
This module explores how emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and remote work are reshaping the world of work and career development. It introduces young job seekers to the basics of AI’s role in recruitment, and the tools available to support their job search. The module also examines the rise of remote and hybrid work models, highlighting their benefits and challenges.
Learners will gain an understanding of the essential digital and soft skills needed to thrive in technology-driven workplaces, alongside strategies for continuous learning and upskilling. Ethical and social considerations, including AI bias, digital divides, and responsible technology use, are discussed to foster thoughtful career decisions. By understanding these changes, young people can approach their careers confidently and adapt to a future where human skills and technology work hand in hand.
